Unleashing Childlike Happiness and Fantasy

The entrance of Fantasy sets the tone for the entire design. A stylish black mirror adorned with a small stone craving of a mermaid welcomes visitors, evoking a sense of childlike amusement. The public area features an open layout, with the ceiling cleverly distinguishing the dining and living room. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, creating a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere.

One of the standout features of Fantasy is its balcony, offering breathtaking views for the whole family to enjoy. This design caters to the house owner's love for reading and music, providing a space that encourages an unrestricted lifestyle. The exclusive open style design of the house exudes a sense of freedom and imagination.

The use of contrasting materials and textures adds depth and character to the design. A black marble TV wall with sliding doors in distinct materials creates a visual juxtaposition, while warm wood floors, delicate indirect lighting, and sleek furniture enhance the contemporary and dignified charm of the public area.

The study room, delineated by a marble counter behind the sofa in the living room, showcases captivating vistas. Wooden bookshelves and a ladder, alongside a piano, demonstrate effective space utilization and captivating styles. The capacious kitchen and dining room, adorned with dark-gray wall cabinets, marble columns, and gray tile walls, exemplify exquisite visual aesthetics and smooth traffic flows.

Overcoming various challenges, the design ensures the safety and aesthetics concerns of the personal area. The master bedroom embraces a fashionable style, while the kids' room features vivid colors, reconciling elegance, warmth, modernity, and nature. The living room, designed without blind angles, allows the mother to easily keep an eye on the children in the public area.

Fantasy was completed in May 2015 in Taipei City, Taiwan. The design showcases the fusion of creativity, technical expertise, and meticulous research. It is a testament to Feng-Yi Chien's ability to create spaces that inspire joy and imagination.
